StoresCommercial facilities (building and leasing stores and shopping centres for retailers) grew sales 9.1% to ¥315.4bn but profit only 0.5% to ¥35.7bn. The company says it had no development-property sales (¥5.5bn of profit a year earlier) and margins fell as it sold slow-moving properties and rents lagged costs.
InboundAt its 76 Daiwa Roynet hotels, occupancy fell to 88.2% from 90.4%, which the company puts down partly to slowing inbound demand, while the average room rate rose to ¥14,798 from ¥14,275 and RevPAR also rose.
