JR Hokkaido runs Hokkaido's railways, and its group runs Sapporo Station's JR Tower, the Sapporo Stellar Place and APIA malls, the JR Tower Hotel Nikko Sapporo and Hokkaido Shiki Marché souvenir shops. In April–June 2026 operating revenue rose 2.1% to ¥38.6bn, the operating loss widened to ¥9.8bn from ¥9.0bn, and net income fell 10.8% to ¥3.2bn, propped up by fund income and state support. JR Tower tenant sales edged up to ¥14.37bn and its tax-free sales rose 25.3%.
