JapanElectronics-store sales hit a record. Nojima says air conditioners, TVs and washing machines outgrew the market as demand rose ahead of tighter energy-saving rules; segment profit slipped 2.3% to ¥6.1bn. Carrier-shop sales edged up 0.6% despite the payback from last year's 3G-shutdown demand; profit fell 6.3%.
