Sogo & Seibu runs the Seibu and Sogo department stores and has been owned by the US investment fund Fortress since Seven & i sold it in 2023. It is unlisted and publishes only the once-a-year summary Japanese company law requires, in the government gazette: for the year to September 2025, while its Seibu Ikebukuro flagship was being rebuilt, it booked net sales of ¥86.8bn, an operating loss of ¥5.9bn and a net loss of ¥5.7bn. Part of the Ikebukuro building has since become a Yodobashi Camera store, which opened in June 2026. The notice gives no prior-year figures, so no growth rates are shown; the next one, for the year to September 2026, is expected early in 2027.
