BEAMS names the acts, food and flea-market format for its 50th-anniversary festival at Yoyogi

BEAMS has filled in the programme for BEAMS PARK, the finale of its 50th-anniversary year on February 6, 2027: a seven-act music festival at ¥14,000 a ticket, a first-time food market, a flea market with more than 50 participants and a Finnish throwing-game tournament, all at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium (国立代々木競技場) in Shibuya.

BEAMS Inc., which announced the festival in mid-October, said October 30 it has finalised the line-up for BEAMS PARK, the closing event of its 50th-anniversary year, to be held February 6, 2027 at the Yoyogi National Gymnasium's (国立代々木競技場) first and second gymnasiums in Shibuya, Tokyo, with Shibuya City co-sponsoring a free-admission area. The company's in-house production unit, BEAMS Creative, is handling the event.

The festival runs across four named areas. BE FES, the ticketed music programme in the first gymnasium, books seven acts -- Kyoko Koizumi (小泉今日子), Cornelius, Suchmos, STUTS, Spitz (スピッツ), HYUKOH and Noriyuki Makihara (槇原敬之) -- with gates opening at 10am and performances starting at 11am. Tickets cost ¥14,000, capped at four per person, allocated through a lottery presale running October 30 to November 4. BEAMS said the festival has toured seven cities since 2022, from Tokyo and Osaka to Sapporo and Fukuoka; this edition is its anniversary close.

The other three areas are free to enter. Union Table, a first-time food project curated by Kentaro Emoto of the restaurant Kabi and Maaya Emoto of the wine shop lulu, brings vendors from Tokyo, Toyama, Seoul and Barcelona. The Beams Flea Market, in the second gymnasium, is also a first for the chain, with more than 50 sellers including current and former staff, creators and brands -- though the company has not yet named them, saying details follow in mid-November. Grand Arch, a sports zone, hosts BEAMS' first Mölkky (モルック) tournament, the Finnish wooden-skittles game, with a ¥500,000 prize pool after regional qualifiers in eastern and western Japan, alongside a running programme from Beams Sports and basketball with Hoopvan.

The scale is the point. BEAMS, the Tokyo-headquartered fashion retailer marking its 50th year, chose not to mark the anniversary with one flagship event, but has built four distinct draws -- music, food, resale, sport -- under a single date, aimed at different corners of its customer base. A flea market leaning on current and former staff and alumni, run inside a national sports venue, is a comparatively cheap way to generate months of goodwill content before a single ticket sells; the music line-up, by contrast, is the one piece of the day with a hard cost of entry: ¥14,000 a head, with no discount tier mentioned in the release.
