BEAMS pulls its own labels onto one Shinjuku floor for a 50th-anniversary pop-up
BEAMS is putting close to 100 pieces from across its own label roster on one floor at BEAMS NEWS Shinjuku for three weeks, the third and most inward-looking strand of a 50th-anniversary programme that has otherwise sent the milestone into a station-store overhaul and a gaming trade show.

BEAMS said it will open a pop-up titled 「やっぱり、服が好き」 (roughly: we still love clothes) at BEAMS NEWS Shinjuku, its store inside the station concourse at NEWoMan Shinjuku, by JR Shinjuku Station's Shin-Minami (New South) exit, running from September 25 to October 15.
The pop-up will gather roughly 100 items pulled from across BEAMS' full stable of in-house labels, ranging from casual pieces to more considered, tailored ones, into a single second-floor space, according to the company. BEAMS said the items normally sell through separate stores and labels, and framed the selection as a chance to revisit the love of clothes that has run through the group's fifty years.
It is the third dated strand of BEAMS' 50th-anniversary calendar floortok has tracked this month, after the retailer reopened its Nagoya Station store as a wider, multi-label format on September 4 and sold a seven-publisher gaming capsule collection at Tokyo Game Show from September 17 to 21. Unlike either of those, the Shinjuku pop-up adds no new floor and no outside partner — it is BEAMS re-presenting its own existing labels, temporarily, in one room.
BEAMS operates dozens of in-house labels — among them BEAMS PLUS, Ray BEAMS and Demi-Luxe BEAMS, as it detailed when it opened the wider Nagoya Station store — that normally sell through separate stores, so any one shopper typically sees only a slice of the group's own range at a time. Corralling about 100 pieces from across that range into one station-concourse store for three weeks is a Product-and-Presentation move rather than a promotional one: a reminder that BEAMS' core skill was never manufacturing but curating across categories, the identity that built its original 1976 Harajuku shop. It is also the lowest-stakes of the anniversary's three moves so far — a temporary edit inside an existing store, rather than a new format or an external tie-in.
