Nitori opens its 15th Malaysia store, its 1,090th worldwide
Nitori's newest Kuala Lumpur store is modest next to the mall around it, but it adds to the Japanese home-furnishing leader's steady store-by-store build-out in Malaysia.

Nitori Holdings said it opened a new store inside Pavilion Damansara Heights, a shopping mall in Kuala Lumpur, on October 1 — its 15th store in Malaysia and the 1,090th in the Nitori Group worldwide, according to a release dated September 30.
The roughly 250-tsubo (about 825 square-metre) store sits inside what Nitori described as a lifestyle-focused mall with a broad tenant mix — the mid-size, mall-anchored format the retailer has used to build out its Malaysian network one store at a time rather than through a handful of flagship-scale openings.
A fifteenth Malaysia store does not move Nitori's group results on its own. It is a reminder that the Japanese home-furnishings leader keeps adding stores abroad, one mall-anchored site at a time, and that its Malaysian network is built the same incremental way.
