Beauty-tech brand ReFa opens a shop-in-shop at Matsuzakaya Shizuoka

ReFa has taken a directly run shop-in-shop on the first floor of Matsuzakaya Shizuoka, another department-store floor where the beauty-tech brand now sells to customers itself rather than through a third party.

Beauty-tech brand ReFa has opened a shop-in-shop on the first floor of Matsuzakaya Shizuoka's main building, Daimaru Matsuzakaya Department Stores said in a release on its own PR TIMES newsroom.

The space, run under ReFa's "VITAL BEAUTY" positioning, carries the brand's core hardware lineup — the Beauty Tech Dryer S+, the Treatment Iron, the Fine Bubble U+ shower head and the Aura device — with staff on hand to match products to a customer's concerns and let them try items before buying, according to the release.

It is a small addition to the floor, but a telling one: ReFa, made by MTG Co., has increasingly taken directly run counters inside regional department stores rather than leaving beauty-tech sales to a third-party retailer, giving it more control over how the devices are demonstrated and sold.
