Stripe International's SM2 reopens its Lasora Kawanishi store after a renovation

Stripe International's Samansa Mos2 brand will reopen its renovated store at Lasora Kawanishi, a Hyogo shopping centre, on November 13 with two store-exclusive pieces -- a minor but genuine floor change for a Japanese mall-apparel operator.

Can Co., a Stripe International group company, said its Samansa Mos2 (SM2) store at Lasora, a shopping centre in Kawanishi, Hyogo Prefecture, will reopen on November 13 after a renovation. The store, on the second floor of the facility, will keep the centre's standard 10am-8pm hours.

To mark the reopening, the store will carry two SM2-exclusive pieces from November 13: a reversible tunic (6,600 yen tax included, in four colourways) and a double-button crew-neck vest (6,050 yen, in three colourways), both in one free size, the company said. Shoppers who buy either item receive an original tote bag while stocks last, and anyone buying any in-store item can play a gacha-style draw for an original sticker; Chum app members get 10% off at the till from November 13 to 15.

A single-store renovation with a couple of exclusive pieces is about as small as a floor story gets, but it is the kind of unglamorous maintenance that keeps a mall-apparel chain's regional footprint from going stale between the headline openings -- and, for a store-exclusive item priced under 7,000 yen, a cheap way to give a suburban location a reason to be visited rather than just passed through on the way to the train.
