Takashimaya Osaka to host a Star Detective Precure! exhibition over the New Year holidays, tickets on sale November 9

Osaka Takashimaya is anchoring its New Year event-floor calendar with an exhibition built around Star Detective Precure! (名探偵プリキュア!), the Pretty Cure franchise's current television series -- its "detective" theme is its own, not a tie-up with Detective Conan -- selling advance tickets from November 9 for a December 26 to January 11 run.

Takashimaya Co., Ltd. (株式会社髙島屋) said tickets go on sale Monday, November 9, at 10am for "Star Detective Precure! Exhibition" (名探偵プリキュア!展) -- built around Star Detective Precure! (名探偵プリキュア!), the Pretty Cure franchise's current television series, whose detective theme is its own and not a crossover with the separate Detective Conan franchise -- which it will host in the seventh-floor event hall at its Osaka store from December 26 to January 11, closed January 1 and 2, according to the company's November 2 announcement. Takashimaya said the run will be the exhibition's first in western Japan.

Entry runs on a timed-ticket system through the booking platform Asoview (アソビュー), with same-day tickets sold only if a slot still has room. Standard admission is ¥1,800 for visitors of junior-high age and up and ¥1,200 for children aged three to sixth grade, with children needing a guardian aged 18 or over; a limited run of tickets bundled with an acrylic clock, in two designs, is priced at ¥5,400. Every paid ticket comes with one of four exhibition postcards, given out at random.

Inside, visitors work through a mystery built around the exhibition's own invitation, visit a companion-fortune-telling feature Takashimaya calls the Kyuatto Detective Agency (キュアット探偵事務所), and walk through a recreation of the series' setting, Makoto Mirai City (まことみらい市). The Osaka run carries one exclusive: the first public reveal of new illustrations of the character Cure Arcana (キュアアルカナ), the company said.

Merchandise on sale -- exclusive to ticket holders, with no re-entry -- ranges from ¥400 random photo-card-style items to ¥3,300 acrylic magnet panels of the character Cure Answer (キュアアンサー) and ¥1,300 acrylic stands of Cure Arcana, among the other items Takashimaya listed in the release.

The booking opens more than six weeks before the exhibition's December 26 start, giving Takashimaya a long run-up to sell timed slots across the store's quieter post-holiday stretch before the January 11 close. For an event floor that competes for school-holiday families, an advance children's-IP exhibition such as this is a reliable way to put a number on New Year footfall before the season even starts.
