Geo Holdings' 2nd STREET opens its first Hong Kong Island store, in Causeway Bay

GEO Holdings Corporation, which operates the secondhand-fashion chain 2nd STREET, opened its first store on Hong Kong Island on 18 September, in Causeway Bay's Windsor House, the company said in a press release.

The store, 2nd STREET Windsor House, sits about a two-minute walk from Causeway Bay MTR station and spans roughly 205 tsubo (about 680 square metres) — the chain's largest store area in Hong Kong, according to Geo Holdings. It carries around 10,000 secondhand items spanning luxury and casual fashion, bags, shoes and accessories, the company said. It is 2nd STREET's sixth Hong Kong store; the previous five were concentrated in Kowloon and the New Territories, making this the chain's first move onto the island itself.

The opening sits inside a wider overseas push: Geo Holdings said it operates more than 950 domestic stores and over 100 outlets across six overseas markets, having passed 1,000 combined stores globally in April 2025, with the company describing its aim as becoming the global leader in the reuse sector — a target the company has set for itself, not an independently verified ranking.

Testing a Japan-built secondhand format in one of Asia's most expensive retail districts is a Place bet as much as a growth one: Causeway Bay's rents reward tenants that can move enough volume, at a high enough average ticket, to justify the address, and luxury resale is exactly the inventory that can. The Hong Kong push is also running in parallel with reinvestment at home — floortok reported this month on 2nd STREET's own new luxury-resale flagship in Ginza — which suggests Geo Holdings sees the same high-value resale customer, whether paying in yen or Hong Kong dollars, as worth chasing on both fronts at once.
