Autry opens its first Japan flagship, run directly on Osaka Takashimaya's lifestyle floor

The Italian sneaker-and-lifestyle label's first flagship store in Japan has opened on Osaka Takashimaya's third-floor Style & Edit section, run directly by its Japan subsidiary, which was founded in July 2025.

Autry Japan said its first flagship store in Japan opened on September 16 inside Osaka Takashimaya, on the third-floor Style & Edit section, according to a release dated September 30.

The Italian label, founded in Dallas, Texas in 1982 and rebuilt in Italy in the 2000s, sells its MEDALIST sneaker line alongside apparel and accessories at the new shop, which runs 10am to 8pm. The store is run by Autry Japan Co., Ltd., the brand's Japan subsidiary, which was only established in July 2025 — making this the subsidiary's first store rather than a wholesale-only presence.

Running the Japan store directly, through a subsidiary set up only last year, fits a wider pattern of imported lifestyle brands wanting to control their own presentation and pricing here. Osaka Takashimaya's Style & Edit floor, which hosts the shop, is where the department store is placing it.
