BAYCREW'S opens its first Kitakyushu store, bundling five womenswear labels under one roof
BAYCREW'S GROUP is opening its first store in the Kitakyushu area on 10 September, at Amu Plaza Kokura, gathering five of its womenswear labels onto a single floor.

BAYCREW'S GROUP will open BAYCREW'S STORE KOKURA on 10 September, marking its first store in the Kitakyushu area, on the third floor of Amu Plaza Kokura's east building, beside JR Kokura Station, according to the company's own announcement.
The store gathers five of the group's womenswear labels — Spick & Span, IÉNA, SLOBE IÉNA, JOURNAL STANDARD relume and LE TALON — onto one floor, plus a rotating pop-up space for guest brands, and will trade daily from 10am to 8pm. Baycrew's described the store's aim as bringing "enjoyment of life through fashion, food, housing and beauty" together in one place, consolidating labels that had not previously had a presence in the city.
Kitakyushu, Fukuoka Prefecture's second city after Fukuoka itself, has drawn less attention from Tokyo-based select-shop groups than the flashier Tenjin district further south, where most have concentrated their Kyushu floor space instead. Opening a five-label store rather than a single-brand shop lets Baycrew's justify a foothold in a smaller catchment: the format spreads the fixed cost of a new regional lease across several labels at once, a template the group and its rivals have leaned on more often as they push past the largest cities.
