F.O. International, BOBO CHOSES' distributor in Japan, is opening a pop-up shop for the Spanish kids' and lifestyle label on the fifth floor of Tamagawa Takashimaya, in the children's clothing section, from 16 September, the company said. No closing date has been set, according to the release.

The shop will carry baby items for 9- to 24-month-olds — long-sleeve tops, bodysuits and overalls — alongside kids' cardigans, sweatshirts and trousers for ages two to nine, plus hats, backpacks and socks. F.O. International is also expanding the line into a newly added adult collection, to be sold at the same pop-up. Purchases over ¥10,000 (tax included) come with a free original BOBO CHOSES hanger, while stock lasts, the company said. Trading hours are 10:00 to 20:00.

Tamagawa Takashimaya sits in a residential pocket of south-west Tokyo, well outside the Ginza and Shinjuku flagships that usually host a European kids' label's Japan activity, and putting a foreign lifestyle brand's pop-up — now stretching into adultwear — on its fashion floor is a small test of whether a suburban store can draw the same kind of destination visit its central counterparts take for granted.
