Brunello Cucinelli raises its 2026 growth forecast to 12% as nine-month revenue hits €1.12bn

Brunello Cucinelli lifted its full-year revenue guidance for the second time this year after nine-month sales rose 13.3% at constant exchange rates to €1.12bn, with Asia growing fastest behind China and the house naming Japan among the markets still delivering positive results on local clients alone.

Brunello Cucinelli said its board reviewed revenue for the nine months to September 30 and raised its full-year 2026 guidance to growth of around 12% at constant exchange rates, up from the 10-11% range it set in July and the roughly 10% it forecast at the start of the year, according to the Italian maison's press release, dated October 15. Nine-month revenue rose 13.3% at constant exchange rates (10.2% at current rates) to €1,123.6m, with third-quarter revenue of €374.2m up 13.5% at constant exchange rates -- a touch ahead of the company's own initial expectations, it said.

The company's own channel breakdown shows where that growth is coming from. The Retail channel -- its own boutiques and the directly run network -- brought in €741.0m, up 19% at constant exchange rates over the nine months (17% in the third quarter alone) and now 66.0% of total revenue, up from 63.4% a year earlier. The network stood at 142 directly operated boutiques as of September 30, after openings in Nashville and Naples earlier in the year and in San Diego in the third quarter. Wholesale, sold through specialty and department-store partners, grew a steadier 4% at constant exchange rates to €382.6m (7% in the third quarter), helped by deliveries of the Fall-Winter 2026 collection.

By region, at constant exchange rates, the Americas led with revenue of €418.3m, up 20% and now 37.2% of the group's total -- the largest single region -- on what the company described as broad-based demand across major cities, resorts and newer markets. Europe grew 7% to €393.9m (35.1% of revenue), a performance the company attributed to local clients plus international luxury tourism. Asia grew 14% to €311.4m (27.7% of revenue), with double-digit growth in every quarter of the year; the company said China remained a main driver of the region's growth, with its Retail channel gaining weight there. Within the same Asia figures, the release said Japan and South Korea "continue to deliver positive results, driven mainly by local clients," without breaking out a market-level figure for either.

"The first nine months of 2026 closed with revenue up 13.3% at constant exchange rates, a result we find particularly interesting," Brunello Cucinelli, the house's executive chairman and creative director, said in the release. The company confirmed its guidance for 2027 revenue growth of around 10%, citing a positive order-intake campaign for the Spring-Summer 2027 men's and women's collections and favourable reception at Milan Fashion Week in September.

The release also noted that premieres of the company's own documentary film, "Brunello, il visionario garbato," are scheduled for the following week in Tokyo, Shanghai and Hong Kong, alongside the opening of a tenth "Casa Cucinelli" guest residence in Shanghai.

The detail worth sitting with is how the company frames Japan's growth: not as a tourism story, the way it describes Europe, but as one carried by local clients, inside an Asia region whose headline number is really a China story. For a house that sells in Japan through both its own boutiques and department-store concessions, that is a steadier kind of demand to plan a gift-season buy against than one leaning on inbound spending -- and it is arriving just as the group's own guidance for the year has moved up for the second time since January.
