Brunello Cucinelli stages a winter outerwear capsule on Hankyu Umeda's luxury floor

Brunello Cucinelli's October Capsule Collection takes Hankyu Umeda's fifth-floor luxury stage from October 21, with outerwear priced as high as ¥1.485 million, the latest in a run of European maisons using the same floor this autumn.

Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores said Italian luxury house Brunello Cucinelli will stage its "October Capsule Collection," a winter outerwear edit themed "Pages from Landscapes," at Hankyu Umeda Main Store's 5th-floor Hankyu Luxury area (Kotokoto Stage 51) from October 21 to November 3, 2026.

The capsule's three pieces include a matte nylon jacket with Thermore insulation and shearling detailing at ¥1,256,200, a bright-white gilet at ¥959,200, and a high-tech cotton taffeta down jacket with a removable shearling hood at ¥1,485,000, according to the company. The release frames the collection's design language as "country couture," drawn from English countryside scenery and traditional patterning.

The event lands on a floor that has turned over briskly this autumn -- Hankyu Umeda hosted Prada's pre-sale and Schiaparelli's first Osaka salon in early October, and a Save the Duck pop-up only days before this one -- a pace that underlines how the department store leans on rotating capsule showcases, rather than permanent boutique space, to keep its luxury floor stocked with fresh European names between seasons.
