Bulgari brings its Serpenti and Tubogas jewellery lines to a new AW26 eyewear collection in Japan

Bulgari Japan will launch two new eyewear lines this August built on the house's signature Serpenti snake motif and Tubogas coiled-metal design — a move that extends two of its best-known jewellery languages into a new accessories category.

Bulgari Japan LLC will launch two new eyewear collections this month built on the house's signature jewellery motifs, the company said. The Serpenti Forever line reworks the brand's snake emblem into a feminine cat-eye frame with a hand-enamelled snake-head detail, priced at ¥106,700; the Bulgari Tubogas line applies the house's coiled-metal jewellery technique to a semi-rimless cat-eye frame in acetate and metal, priced at ¥172,700, according to the release.

The launch reads as a straightforward category extension: taking two jewellery languages the house has built over decades — Serpenti's snake and Tubogas's seamless coiled tube — and applying them to a higher-frequency accessory, eyewear, that carries a far lower entry price than the fine jewellery it borrows from. For a maison whose core business is priced well beyond most shoppers, an eyewear line offers a way to keep the same design vocabulary visible on a wider range of faces.
