Daiso's Standard Products completes its 47-prefecture rollout in Fukui

A combined Standard Products-and-DAISO store opening in Fukui in November will put Daiso's premium household-goods line in every one of Japan's 47 prefectures.

Daiso Industries said its premium household-goods chain, Standard Products, will open its first Fukui prefecture store on 6 November, taking the second floor of Fairmall Fukui alongside a DAISO shop in what the company called the prefecture's first combined-brand store, according to an announcement dated 7 October.

The opening completes Standard Products' rollout across all 47 of Japan's prefectures. Fukui is already one of DAISO's strongest footholds in its own right, with 33 stores in the prefecture as of 30 September, and a second Standard Products store is scheduled to open there on 4 December, at PARIO CITY.

With nationwide reach complete, the next test shifts from geography to density. Daiso is already lining up a second Standard Products store in Fukui within weeks of the first — a sign the group sees room for the kind of multi-store presence it already runs for DAISO itself, even in a regional market that size.
