Etro Japan's 2026 holiday collection adds a Japan-only shawl and a panettone collaboration

Etro Japan unveiled a chalet-themed 2026 holiday collection running from ¥99,000 to ¥940,500, adding a Japan-only Christmas shawl and a panettone-and-pandoro range made with Italian bakery Aimo e Nadia for its boutiques across Japan and ETRO.com -- building country-specific merchandise rather than simply shipping the global holiday line.

Etro Japan said on November 4 it will carry a 2026 holiday collection built around a mountain-chalet theme -- tracing one day from a morning gift exchange, through a lunch at a set table, to afternoon games -- according to the company's announcement, issued through PR TIMES.

The collection's palette is black, forest green and copper with gold accents and sheer fabric, built on Etro's signature paisley combined with florals, medallions and arabesques, printed across velvet, jacquard, damask and lurex. Womenswear leans on lace, in long and short dresses, slip dresses, jacquard jackets and trousers, a boned bustier and a chenille cape; menswear includes printed velvet jackets, a silk-blend velvet robe coat, and a tone-on-tone damask evening suit with a bow tie and cashmere-silk scarf. Accessories include the studded Arnica bag and suede Vela Blossom and Carispera styles trimmed with mirror studs or floral embroidery.

Two items are made for Japan alone: a holiday shawl, and a panettone-and-pandoro range produced with the Italian bakery Aimo e Nadia, in classic, caramel, fleur de sel and orange flavours, packaged in a satin metal box printed with the collection's pattern. Etro Japan listed prices across the range from ¥99,000 for a charm to ¥940,500 for a robe -- other pieces cited include dresses at ¥776,600 and ¥805,200, jackets at ¥663,300 and ¥552,200, a shirt at ¥305,800, earrings at ¥155,000 and a bag at ¥528,000. The collection goes on sale at Etro boutiques across Japan and on ETRO.com, though the company said the assortment will vary store to store; it gave no on-sale date.

Building a shawl and a food collaboration that exist only for the Japan market is a Product move more than a Promotion one: rather than let the global holiday range stand on its own here, Etro Japan is giving its boutiques something a shopper can't simply order from Milan. Selling a food item through a fashion boutique, rather than a department-store food hall, leans on Japan's gift-giving season without competing for food-hall shelf space -- though whether the panettone collaboration becomes an annual fixture, and whether every boutique actually carries it, is left open by a release that admits the assortment itself will differ store to store.
