Givenchy unveils Sarah Burton's second fall/winter women's campaign, shot in Croatia

Sarah Burton's second Givenchy campaign leans on the same unguarded, naturalistic imagery as her first -- a small but telling sign of how she is building the house's visual identity.

Givenchy has unveiled the campaign imagery for creative director Sarah Burton's second fall/winter womenswear collection, photographed by Juergen Teller in Croatia, the maison said in a release dated 28 August.

The campaign features models Eva Herzigova, Constance Debré, Kaia Gerber, Liu Wen and Nyaduola Gabriel, with styling by Camilla Nickerson, casting by Jess Hallett and creative direction by M/M, according to Givenchy. The house frames the imagery around each woman's individuality across a range of ages and expressions of femininity, and ties it to collection pieces including precision tailoring, leather-look white shirts, draped evening dresses and playful accessories.

The choice of Teller, known for a raw, naturalistic style rather than heavy retouching, carries through the visual language Burton introduced in her debut Givenchy season. Two seasons built on the same instinct start to read as a signature rather than a one-off -- and in a category where a change of creative director usually resets the imagery from scratch, that continuity is itself a form of brand-building, one Givenchy will want as Burton's tenure at the house continues.
