Select brand HER. opens a pop-up at Lumine Yurakucho

Tokyo select shop and label HER. will run a seven-week pop-up on Lumine Yurakucho's basement floor from October 28, led by a shorter cut of last year's wool dolman coat -- a small, rotating lease of the kind JR East uses to keep its Lumine station malls' retail turning over.

Anadis, the Tokyo company behind the select shop and own-brand label HER., will run a pop-up store on the basement floor of Lumine Yurakucho from October 28 to December 13, according to a release from the company.

The stall sits on B1 of Lumine 1, about a minute's walk from JR Yurakucho Station's Ginza exit and directly connected to Tokyo Metro's Hibiya Station, and will be open daily from 11am to 9pm for the seven-week run, Anadis said.

The assortment leans on HER.'s own autumn/winter line, with a smaller edit of other Japanese and overseas labels, the company said. Leading the range is a shorter-length version of its wool dolman coat, a piece Anadis says was popular last year, alongside a mid-length cut of the same design; shoppers who visit during the opening receive a tote bag in a colourway made only for the Yurakucho run, and the opening is also marked by an Instagram Live on October 28 covering the pop-up's recommended pieces.

It is a modest booking, but it is the kind of turnover JR East leans on to keep station-level retail at Lumine current: letting a basement stall to a single brand for seven weeks, rather than as a year-round tenancy, tests whether a label's following converts into commuter footfall before either side commits further.
