Hankyu Umeda gives disability-led art label HERALBONY its pop-up floor for three weeks, with a ¥165,000 coat

HERALBONY, the label that puts artwork by artists with disabilities onto fashion, takes over Hankyu Umeda's third-floor pop-up space for three weeks, pricing its pieces from a ¥9,350 custom charm to a ¥165,000 jacquard overcoat.

Hankyu Hanshin Department Stores said HERALBONY, the brand that puts artwork by artists with disabilities onto apparel and accessories, will run "HERALBONY HEARTDEMIC" at Hankyu Umeda Main Store's third-floor Pop Up Circus space from October 31 to November 20, built around the brand's "Triple Heart" symbol, according to a company release.

The range spans a wide price ladder: a knit scarf at ¥33,000, a hoodie and pullover carrying a raised 3D-embroidered logo at ¥25,300 and ¥20,900, a hand-screen-printed "Musical Score" jacket and matching trousers at ¥41,800 and ¥36,300, and a custom charm set, limited to 70 pieces, at ¥9,350. At the top sits a jacquard-woven overcoat at ¥165,000, due to arrive in mid-November -- the brand's artwork woven across a 180cm fabric width rather than printed on.

The price range matters as much as the art: at the top of the ladder, a ¥165,000 woven overcoat is positioned as outerwear in its own right rather than as a charity purchase, and a three-week run on a dedicated pop-up floor gives the brand room to show the full range, from a ¥9,350 charm up, to Hankyu Umeda shoppers.
