Otaru confectioner LeTAO takes a two-week stand at LaLaport Fujimi

A Hokkaido cheesecake maker's fortnight-long stand in a Saitama mall is the kind of routine tenant churn that keeps a ground floor feeling fresh between anchor renewals — and a low-risk way to test autumn omiyage-gift demand outside Hokkaido.

Otaru Yoshigashi LeTAO, the Hokkaido cheesecake brand operated by KCC Co. (headquartered in Chitose, Hokkaido), is running a pop-up shop at Mitsui Fudosan's LaLaport Fujimi in Saitama Prefecture from 15 to 28 September, the company said. The stand sits on the mall's first floor in front of the Iru Marche food area and trades 10am to 8pm.

The lineup leans on LeTAO's signature Double Fromage two-layer cheesecake (¥2,376 for a 12cm cake) alongside a seasonal Niagara Double made with Yoichi white grapes (¥2,484) and a limited Hokkaido corn galette (¥1,728 for five pieces), pitched as autumn omiyage gifts.

On its own this is a minor line: a two-week stand, not a store opening. But it is the routine that keeps a suburban mall's food hall in motion — a Hokkaido name drawing on regional-gift appeal fills a ground-floor slot for a fortnight at a fraction of the cost of a permanent tenant, and gives LaLaport Fujimi a reason to bring shoppers back before the next rotation.
