Louis Vuitton recolours four core bags in trench-toned suede for autumn

Louis Vuitton Japan has recoloured four of its bestselling bag silhouettes in a trench-inspired beige suede for autumn, a low-cost way to keep the core range feeling fresh between full collections.

Louis Vuitton Japan has added four handbags in a beige, trench-coat-inspired suede to its autumn "Back to School" lineup, according to a release the maison posted August 31 on PR TIMES. The refresh covers four of the house's core silhouettes: the All-In BB at ¥481,800, the Pochette Mia at ¥365,200, the Speedy Bandoulière 25 at ¥468,600, and the All-In-One PM at ¥540,100, all tax included.

Each is finished in embossed suede calf leather, the company said, with the beige tone meant to echo the classic trench coat as the season turns. The Speedy Bandoulière 25 converts between handbag and shoulder bag, while the All-In BB comes with a removable pouch and the brand's padlock and name tag.

The move says more about maintaining momentum than about innovation. Rather than introduce new shapes, Louis Vuitton is recolouring proven bestsellers — a lower-cost way to keep a core range feeling current between full seasonal collections, and one that lets the house test a seasonal palette without committing production to a new silhouette. At ¥365,200 to ¥540,100, the four sit in the more accessible tier of the maison's handbag ladder, the segment most exposed to shifts in Japan's still-resilient luxury spending.

The "Back to School" label is more marketing hook than literal audience: the bags are priced well above what any student would spend, and the timing lines up instead with Japan's autumn gifting and new-season wardrobe cycle.
