Miu Miu's "Vinyl Club" pop-up puts an AI music installation on Isetan Shinjuku's floor
Miu Miu's music-themed pop-up runs at Isetan Shinjuku, then Hankyu Umeda, with a Marshall-designed silent disco throughout and an AI music-generation installation exclusive to the Tokyo stop.

Miu Miu is bringing a music-themed pop-up called "Vinyl Club" to two of Japan's flagship department stores this month, according to Prada Japan K.K., its Japanese subsidiary. The installation opens at Isetan Shinjuku's main building, on the first floor's "The Stage," from 16 to 22 September, then moves to Hankyu Umeda's first-floor "Kotokoto Stage 11" from 23 to 29 September.
At the centre of both stops is a "Silent Disco," Prada Japan said — a listening set-up built around Marshall x Miu Miu earphones and speakers that lets shoppers hear a curated playlist while browsing the autumn/winter collection. Isetan Shinjuku alone also gets "Music Totem," a digital installation that lets visitors generate original AI-composed music, a format the company is not repeating at Hankyu Umeda.
The collection on sale ranges from a ¥163,900 Marshall x Miu Miu portable speaker and ¥170,500 New Balance x Miu Miu ballet flats up to a ¥500,500 early-release RETOUR bag and a ¥330,000 IVY bag, Prada Japan said, alongside a ¥225,500 top and a ¥302,500 fleece.
The route matters as much as the installations. Running Tokyo first and Osaka second, and keeping the AI-music piece exclusive to Isetan Shinjuku, treats the two department-store floors less as identical retail space and more as a staged rollout — the kind of investment in a concession that shapes what a Japan luxury shopper actually encounters this autumn, ahead of any wider push.
