MM6 Maison Margiela opens a new Osaka store inside Shinsaibashi PARCO
MM6 Maison Margiela has opened on the second floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO, the Osaka landlord's own store listing shows — an avant-garde, diffusion-line bet on a mall built around exactly that kind of youth-led, fashion-forward tenant.

MM6 Maison Margiela opened a store on the second floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO in Osaka on July 31, according to a store listing published by the mall's operator, Shinsaibashi PARCO — part of J. Front Retailing.
The listing describes MM6, the Belgian maison's more accessible diffusion line launched in 1997, as reworking wardrobe staples with a wit and boldness that draws subtly on the house archive rather than quoting it directly. Its garments carry the line's signature white stitched tag and span all-gender clothing, shoes, accessories and leather goods finished with distinctive fabric treatments. For the opening, the brand produced a set of exclusive pieces, including bags carrying archive-inspired sticker graphics alongside limited T-shirts, denim and accessories, the listing said.
Fashionsnap and other Japanese fashion outlets reported the store as MM6's largest in Japan, at roughly 153 square metres and built around an archway feature — a detail Shinsaibashi PARCO's own listing does not state.
The opening adds an avant-garde, younger-skewing name to a mall whose whole draw is precisely this kind of directional, youth-led tenant mix, and it fits a pattern among Maison Margiela's diffusion and fragrance lines of favouring fashion-forward commercial buildings over standalone flagships to reach Kansai's streetwear-and-luxury crossover shopper.
