Moncler recruits Rick Owens, Clarks Originals and Moon Boot for its FW26 footwear push
Moncler is putting three very different designer names — Rick Owens, Clarks Originals and Moon Boot — onto one shoe platform for Fall/Winter 2026, with launches staggered from early September to late November.

Moncler unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026 footwear collection this month, built around three named designer collaborations on the brand's Trailgrip platform, according to the group's own press release. Rick Owens, Clarks Originals and Moon Boot each get a distinct reworking of a Moncler shoe, with launches staggered from early September to late November.
The Moncler + Clarks Originals Trailgrip Wallabee GTX lands first, launching in early September. It takes Clarks' Wallabee moccasin and rebuilds it in khaki or beige suede with a waterproof GORE-TEX lining and Moncler's signature Trailgrip Vibram rubber sole, the company said.
The Moncler + Rick Owens Trailgrip Megalace follows in late November, in black or tonal cloud grey, both with beige laces. Crafted from padded nylon and leather with curved, overlapping upper panels, a sculptural padded collar and a rear-lacing system, it is the most conceptual of the three — closer to Owens' own runway silhouettes than to a conventional trail shoe.
The Moon Boot x Moncler Grenoble Icon High Rodeo, also launching late November, debuted on the Moncler Grenoble runway in Aspen. Moncler describes it as a hybrid of snow boot and cowboy boot, in suede and nubuck with embroidered detailing and a nappa-leather heel and band, offered in Chestnut and Caribou colourways.
Alongside the three collaborations, Moncler is refreshing several core Trailgrip and Peak styles for the season: the original Trailgrip GTX sneaker in new orange and colour-blocked lilac-black or grey-black, the lighter-weight Trailgrip Lite3 and Trailgrip Apex GTX, a women's lugged boot called the Vera Edge, and a run of shearling-lined winter boots — the Peak Snowcap, Peak Après and Moncler Altive Mid — arriving through October, the company said.
The collaboration roster reads as a Promotion move as much as a Product one: three very different audiences — Owens' avant-garde following, Clarks' heritage crowd, Moon Boot's Alpine-kitsch fans — each get their own entry point onto the same Trailgrip sole unit, the kind of hub-and-spoke platform strategy performance brands use to look permanent rather than seasonal. Staggering the launches from early September to late November also lines the drops up with the run-up to the winter gifting season, when a named collaboration tends to sell faster than a house style.
Whether that logic holds in Japan, where sneaker culture prizes provenance as much as design, will show up less in any single shoe's reception than in how tightly Moncler manages the drop — a scarce early-September pair travels further on resale than a boot still sitting in stock at Christmas.
