Tokyo label Papas marks 40 years with a Hemingway-themed pop-up at Nihombashi Mitsukoshi
Papas is taking the first-floor central hall of Nihombashi Mitsukoshi's main store for a 40th-anniversary pop-up built around a furniture collaboration -- a read on what a Tokyo apparel brand spends its anniversary budget on, and where, when it has a flagship department-store floor to borrow.

Papas Co., Ltd. said it is running "HEMINGWAY JOURNEY," an event marking the 40th anniversary of its namesake brand, in the first-floor central hall of Nihombashi Mitsukoshi's main building (日本橋三越本店) from October 21 to November 3, decorating the space to resemble the writer Ernest Hemingway's study, with a yacht marking the entrance, the company said. The event also features Papas' sister brand Mademoiselle NON NON.
