Pomellato's new high-jewellery line gets its first Tokyo outing, fronted by three Japanese actresses
Pomellato previewed its new high-jewellery collection Stile Libero in Tokyo on October 23, pairing it with a Bizantio capsule billed as the brand's first showing anywhere in Japan -- a sign of how far the Kering-owned house will go to court Japan's high-jewellery buyers.

Pomellato held a Tokyo preview of its new high-jewellery line, Stile Libero, on October 23, ahead of the collection's public opening on October 25 -- the first time the line has been shown in the city, according to the Italian house. Alongside it, Pomellato's Bizantio capsule, drawn from the brand's archive, made what the company said was its first appearance anywhere in Japan.
Three Japanese actresses fronted the preview: Aya Ohmasa wore the Marvelous Griffe earrings and a Prism ring, Makiko Takizawa wore the Dressage Cameo necklace, Embrasse earrings and a Note di Luce ring, and An Nakamura wore the Drops of Paraiba necklace and earrings, Pomellato said. The house described Stile Libero as channelling "the free spirit and creativity of Milan" through vivid coloured stones, fine gold openwork and sculptural settings -- its idea, it said, of high jewellery as wearable art. Pomellato did not disclose pricing or name a public venue for the preview.
Fronting the launch with three well-known Japanese actresses, rather than a single global ambassador, is Pomellato's way of building trust in a category that sells through personal relationships and local faces more than through a runway image. Putting new high-jewellery pieces directly in front of local buyers before giving the collection pricing or a dedicated counter is a low-cost way to test demand ahead of a wider rollout.
