Issey Miyake and Tasaki join Rinku Premium Outlets' autumn store lineup

Mitsubishi Estate Simon is filling five vacancies at Rinku Premium Outlets this autumn with a roster that reaches further up the ladder than the usual outlet mix — Issey Miyake and Tasaki alongside Salomon, A Bathing Ape and Anello.

Mitsubishi Estate Simon will bring five new stores to Rinku Premium Outlets between September and October, including two names not usually associated with the discount outlet channel: the designer house Issey Miyake and the jeweller Tasaki, according to the operator's own announcement.

A Bathing Ape's Pirate Store opens September 3, followed on September 5 by Issey Miyake's first store at the mall, carrying several of the house's lines, and by Tasaki Special Shop, a limited-term store from the Japan-origin luxury jeweller that the operator says will run through March 2027. Salomon opens September 18, and a bag store from Anello follows from October 2 to November 30 — a run the operator describes as the brand's first appearance anywhere in the nationwide Premium Outlets network. Issey Miyake, A Bathing Ape and Anello sit in the complex's Seaside area; Tasaki is on the first floor of the Main Side building, per the release.

Rinku Premium Outlets, a roughly 250-brand complex near Kansai International Airport in Izumisano, is reachable by a 15-minute shuttle from the airport or a six-minute walk from Rinku Town Station.

The roster says more about the outlet channel than any single opening does. A luxury jeweller and a directional design house — even in temporary or single-location form — are the kind of names that would once have stayed well clear of an outlet address; Anello's debut across the entire Premium Outlets network, by contrast, is a mass-accessible brand testing the same real estate from the other direction. Read together, the lineup looks less like a discount mall filling space and more like an operator stretching what "outlet" means in Japan, up the brand ladder and down it at the same time.
