Ron Herman returns after five years with a new flagship in Takashimaya's Nagoya mall
Ron Herman's Japan operator, Little League, is opening its first new store in five years inside Takashimaya Gate Tower Mall at Nagoya Station on November 13 — a concrete bet on where the California lifestyle brand, and Takashimaya's mall arm, see their next growth floor.

Little League Inc., which operates Ron Herman in Japan, said it will open a new store at Takashimaya Gate Tower Mall in Nagoya on November 13 — its first new Ron Herman store in five years — according to a release dated September 30.
The 299.67-square-metre store occupies the first floor of the mall, at 1-1-3 Meieki, Nakamura Ward, with a wood-louvre storefront built to resemble a street-level shop. Inside, the layout splits into a naturally lit women's corner, a men's section, a jewellery corner, and a living-goods area near the till. To mark the opening, the store is launching more than 20 exclusive or limited collaboration pieces — with brands including Tod's, Anya Hindmarch and Descendant — priced from ¥1,320 to ¥550,000, the company said.
Ron Herman's last new Japan store opened five years ago, so putting the next one into a station mall in Nagoya, rather than Tokyo or Osaka, is a deliberate choice, not a default. For Takashimaya, which operates the Gate Tower Mall alongside its own department store in the same station complex, landing a brand this established is a sign the mall arm can compete for tenants that might otherwise have gone straight to the main store or a rival Tokyo location.
