Weekend Max Mara stages a two-day Tokyo pop-up around new Pasticcino bags
Max Mara's diffusion line is seeding a new bag series into Japan through a lifestyle-magazine fan event rather than a department-store or boutique launch, with the pieces on display only and no on-site sales.

Max Mara Japan said Weekend Max Mara will hold a two-day pop-up on October 24 and 25, 2026, at NY FACTORY inside EASE Village in Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa ward, Tokyo, tied to lifestyle magazine FUDGE's own fan event, "FUDGE Weekend 2026." The pop-up runs 11am-7pm on the Saturday and 11am-5pm on the Sunday.
Built around the brand's 2026 autumn-winter campaign "A Weekend in Ireland," the space will show items from the collection and debut a new Pasticcino bag series -- a canvas tote and a suede shoulder bag -- for display only, with no sales on site, the company said. Visitors can book a same-day, limited-capacity knit workshop to decorate a pre-made Pasticcino bag with beads and clasps, and the brand is giving registrants a limited coffee blend and handing out Pasticcino-shaped iced cookies, first come first served, to visitors who photographed the venue and posted it with the hashtag #weekendmaxmara.
No prices were disclosed for any of the pieces shown, suggesting the event is built to seed the new bag line and the Ireland campaign rather than to sell. Max Mara Japan said Weekend Max Mara has about 250 stores worldwide, its own figure for the line's scale; routing a new product's Japan debut through a magazine's fan event rather than a department-store floor or flagship store is a lower-cost way to read demand before any wider retail rollout.
