Alaïa returns to Estnation's Roppongi Hills store after time away
Alaïa is returning to Estnation's Roppongi Hills store from 18 September with womenswear, bags and shoes from its 2026 main collection, restoring a stocking relationship the Richemont-owned French house had let lapse at one of Tokyo's most closely watched luxury select shops.

Alaïa will return to Estnation's Roppongi Hills store from 18 September, carrying womenswear, bags and shoes from its 2026 main collection, according to Estnation, which operates the Tokyo select-shop chain. The retailer described the move as the comeback of a label it once stocked but had since dropped from its roster, without giving a reason for the earlier gap.
The store is on the second floor of the Hillside Keyaki-zaka Complex in Roppongi Hills. Alaïa was founded in Paris in 1980 by Tunisian-born designer Azzedine Alaïa, known for body-conscious, sculptural tailoring; Peter Mullan has been creative director since 2021, continuing that emphasis on precise cutting. The house has been part of Swiss luxury group Richemont's fashion and accessories arm since the early 2000s.
A single select shop regaining a line it once carried is a small move, but Estnation's Roppongi Hills store is one of the few Tokyo addresses where independent multi-brand buying still shapes which under-distributed European houses shoppers can find in person, rather than online or through a maison's own boutique. Alaïa's return there is as much a read on Estnation's continued pull with left-field luxury labels as it is on Alaïa's own distribution plans in Japan.
