Barbour runs a three-week pop-up at MIESROHE's Omotesando Hills store, with two Japan-exclusive designs

Mash Style Lab is running a Barbour pop-up at its MIESROHE store in Omotesando Hills from October 7 to 31, with two of the eight featured styles made exclusively for Japan, a test of how the British outerwear house's localised product plays on one of Tokyo's most closely watched retail floors ahead of winter.

Mash Style Lab will run a Barbour pop-up inside its MIESROHE store at Omotesando Hills from October 7 to 31, according to a release dated October 2.

The pop-up carries eight styles, including unisex pieces, priced from ¥7,700 for a tartan-check tote bag to ¥75,900 for a peach-skin Bedale jacket, the company said. Two pieces — a Caldbeck non-wax coat at ¥61,600 and a bonding middle-length jacket at ¥59,400 — are described as designs made exclusively for the Japanese market.

MIESROHE is Mash Style Lab's womenswear-led select shop, and running the pop-up inside it rather than opening a standalone Barbour counter is a lower-risk way to read Japanese appetite for the brand's quilted and waxed-cotton outerwear ahead of the winter season, without either side committing to a dedicated store or a wider distribution deal. Omotesando Hills remains one of the clearest stages in Tokyo for that kind of test: a heritage overseas brand getting a three-week read on a Japan-specific edit, on a floor select shops and overseas labels already use to gauge demand before any bigger move.

Whether either of the Japan-exclusive pieces earns a spot in Barbour's regular Japan range will depend on how this one store's three weeks sell.
