Beams pairs its Mangart label with Cowboy Bebop for the film's 25th anniversary

Beams Mangart pairs with Cowboy Bebop for the first time, timed to the anime film's 25th anniversary and a new 4K remaster, with the capsule sold only at one Tokyo store and online from October 30.

Beams will release its first collaboration between its Mangart project and Cowboy Bebop, the company said, timed to the 25th anniversary of the 2001 theatrical film Cowboy Bebop: The Movie and its new 4K remaster.

Art director Tetsuya Nagato built the capsule's graphics as collage artwork drawing on scenes, characters and motifs from the anime, applied across T-shirts (¥7,700), a long-sleeve T-shirt (¥9,900), hoodies (¥16,500), a bandana (¥5,500), a throw blanket (¥16,500) and a made-to-order skate deck (¥22,000), Beams said. The range goes on sale October 30 and runs through November 10, sold only at Beams Culture Takanawa and the Beams official online shop; the skate deck is available only at those two outlets.

The collaboration leans on a familiar mechanic: a rights holder's anniversary re-release gives a retailer a clean reason to put merchandise behind a title with a built-in fanbase, rather than betting on a new one. For Beams, running the drop through a single physical store rather than its wider network keeps the capsule scarce by design, which suits a catalogue title being reintroduced to a new audience through its 4K remaster rather than a current release chasing volume.
