Isetan Shinjuku's winter chocolate festival grows to a record 167 brands for its 25th year
Isetan Shinjuku's flagship winter chocolate festival grows to a record 167 brands for its 25th year, timed to close on Valentine's Day -- a read on how hard Japan's department stores still lean on event-hall programming to pull shoppers back after New Year.

Mitsukoshi Isetan Holdings said on October 24 that its flagship Isetan Shinjuku store will run the 25th edition of Salon du Chocolat, the Paris-born chocolate festival it has hosted since 2003, from January 13 to February 14, 2027, with a record 167 participating brands -- the largest number in the event's history, according to the company.
