Four Seasons Tokyo at Otemachi holds three MICHELIN Keys for a third year
Otemachi is one of only seven Japan hotels holding three MICHELIN Keys in the 2026 selection, the property said — a marker of where Tokyo's crowded ultra-luxury hotel tier actually stands this year.
Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi has kept its three MICHELIN Keys for a third consecutive year, the hotel said on 18 September, in the 2026 edition of the guide's hotel-ranking system.
MICHELIN Keys, the guide's hotel equivalent of its restaurant stars, rank properties from one to three. Otemachi is one of only seven hotels in Japan to hold three Keys in this year's selection, and one of just 155 worldwide across more than 100 countries, according to the hotel.
It is an absolute honour to receive three Michelin Keys for the third consecutive year.
The hotel's three dining and drinking venues also carry outside recognition: est holds a MICHELIN star of its own, alongside Pigneto and the bar Virtù, which was ranked No. 45 on the World's 50 Best Bars list for 2025.
Three straight years at the top Key tier matters because Tokyo's ultra-luxury hotel floor has filled in fast, with Aman, Peninsula, Janu and Bulgari all competing for the same small pool of high-spending guests. Holding the tier while the house bar and restaurant collect their own outside recognition suggests Otemachi is building standing across a full stay — rooms, food and drink together — rather than leaning on one strong number.
