Four Seasons Tokyo at Otemachi prices its star-shaped Christmas cake at ¥9,000
Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi has opened reservations for its 2026 Christmas cake and bakery collection, led by a ¥9,000 star-shaped chocolate cake from pastry chef Michele Abbatemarco -- one of the first hard prices on the table as Tokyo's five-star hotels set out this year's holiday bakery line-up.

Four Seasons Hotel Tokyo at Otemachi has opened reservations for its 2026 Christmas cake and bakery collection, led by Etoile de Chocolat (literally, "chocolate star"), a star-shaped cake measuring 14.5cm by 5cm and priced at ¥9,000, made with Ecuadorian single-origin chocolate, chocolate mousse and cream, with notes of orange and blackcurrant, the hotel said. Pastry chef Michele Abbatemarco designed the collection.
Alongside the cake, the hotel is selling a run of European holiday confections: white-chocolate teddy bears in two flavours, chocolate with black tea and raspberry, or apple with cinnamon and gingerbread, at ¥3,000 for a pair; a ¥3,600 pain d'epices spice bread; a ¥4,500 Berawecka fruit loaf; and a ¥2,600 brioche ring.
Reservations for both the cake and the confections are open now through December 22, with delivery running December 1 to 25; orders need at least three days' notice and can be placed by phone or through the hotel's own online store. A pop-up pastry shop will also sell the collection at THE LOUNGE, the hotel's ground-floor lounge, from December 15 to 23, 11:00 to 19:00 daily.
A ¥9,000, 14.5cm cake sets the scale other Tokyo hotel pastry kitchens are now pricing against as they publish their own holiday collections through November -- the Otemachi tower's answer to a season every five-star kitchen in the city competes over, one cake box at a time.
