Kiddyland brings its Miffy pop-up back for a fourth year, touring Tokyo, Osaka and Sapporo
Kiddyland's Miffy-branded pop-up shop returns for a fourth consecutive year, opening at Yurakucho Marui in October before touring to Osaka and Sapporo, a recurring format the character retailer now leans on across three cities.

Kiddyland Co., Ltd. said it will open "miffy style POP UP SHOP in Yurakucho," run in cooperation with Dick Bruna Japan Co., Ltd., at Yurakucho Marui's first-floor Calendarium space in Tokyo from 2 to 19 October, open 11:00 to 20:00 (19:00 on the final day, with advance reservation required for entry). It is the fourth consecutive year Kiddyland has staged the event, according to the company.
After Tokyo, the event tours to Kiddyland's own Umeda store in Osaka, from 31 October to 17 November, and to Appia in Sapporo, from 6 to 24 November, the company said. Products include limited-edition plush toys in retro-check and denim-jacket designs at ¥5,500 each, and mascot keychains at ¥2,970; customers spending ¥11,000 or more receive a complimentary tote bag while supplies last. Kiddyland said it now operates 19 dedicated "miffy style" locations nationwide, and described the character's design philosophy as "less is more," citing warm hand-drawn lines, vibrant colours and bold simplicity.
A character pop-up that returns for a fourth straight year, and now spans three cities in a single run, has moved past a one-off promotional stunt into a reliable seasonal fixture for the malls and department stores that host it. That fits how character retail generally works in Japan: rather than committing permanent floor space to a licence, operators lean on a touring calendar that concentrates footfall into a set window, then moves on, which suits both the retailer's flexibility and the character owner's appetite for repeat, time-limited demand.
