Diesel Japan launches a 27-piece Final Fantasy XIV capsule, touring three department stores
Diesel Japan and Square Enix have built a 27-piece Final Fantasy XIV capsule collection around a department-store pop-up tour, starting at Isetan Shinjuku before moving to Hankyu Umeda and Iwataya Fukuoka.

Diesel Japan K.K. has released a 27-piece capsule collection built around Square Enix's online role-playing game Final Fantasy XIV, according to the company's own announcement. The range spans T-shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, denim jackets and trousers, and accessories including bracelets, necklaces, brooches and an iPhone case, priced from around ¥11,000 for the case to ¥132,000 for a denim jacket.
The designs draw on the game's characters and lore, including Y'shtola, Thancred, Urianger, Alphinaud, Alisaie, G'raha Tia, Estinien, Krile and Tataru, alongside symbols such as Azem's Crystal and the Mother Crystal, the company said. A limited "Dawn's Oath Complete Box" bundling several pieces will be sold for ¥207,900, capped at 30 sets.
The collection debuts first at a pop-up inside Isetan Shinjuku from 16 to 22 September, before moving to Hankyu Umeda from 7 to 13 October and Iwataya Fukuoka from 14 to 20 October. It also goes on sale online, through Diesel's official store and its Diesel Art Gallery site, from 2 October, the same day an accompanying exhibition of illustrations by artist Kosuke Kawamura opens at the Diesel Art Gallery inside Diesel Shibuya, running to 8 November.
A gaming crossover built around a three-city department-store pop-up tour, rather than a single Tokyo activation, treats each floor as its own market test before the range goes fully online — a staged rollout suited to a niche-audience collaboration, given FFXIV's long-tenured subscriber base. At ¥132,000 for a jacket, Diesel is pricing the range closer to directional fashion than everyday streetwear, a bet that the game's fandom will pay a premium for pieces tied closely to specific characters and lore.
