Matsuya Ginza to host a 250-piece Lisa Larson memorial exhibition this autumn

The show, organised by the Lisa Larson Memorial Exhibition Executive Committee, includes pieces the organiser says have never before been exhibited in Japan alongside Larson's best-known works.
Advance tickets, on sale since Aug. 7, are priced at ¥1,800 for adults and university students, sliding down to ¥700 for elementary-school pupils, with same-day prices ¥200 higher across each tier, according to the site. Matsuya cardholders and visitors with disabilities and their carers are admitted free. The venue has set timed-entry reservations for opening day and weekend mornings between 11am and 1pm to manage crowding.
The exhibition is the latest in a long-running genre for Japanese department stores: a licensed, ticketed cultural show on an upper floor built to draw a dedicated visit that a straight sales floor rarely generates on its own — a model reflected here in the free admission carved out for Matsuya's own loyalty-card holders.
