An Hermès resale specialist opens its fourth Japan store, betting on Aoyama's gallery district

ORANGE BOUTIQUE, a specialist secondhand retailer of Hermès goods with no affiliation to the maison itself, will open its fourth Japan store in Aoyama on 29 August — a resale specialist's bet that demand for Birkin- and Kelly-tier pieces is still building, not levelling off.

ORANGE BOUTIQUE, a specialist secondhand retailer of Hermès goods — not a store operated by the maison itself — will open its fourth Japan location in Aoyama on 29 August, according to a release from operator Eight Inc., a subsidiary of GT Holdings Corp., distributed 12 August via PR TIMES.

The new store occupies the ground floor of the HOLON-R building on Kitaaoyama's gallery-district stretch, joining existing ORANGE BOUTIQUE doors in Shinsaibashi Osaka, Ginza and Shibuya, the company said.

Eight Inc. said the Aoyama store will carry more than 1,000 items, from rare vintage pieces to current-season models, spanning Birkin, Kelly, Constance, Bolide, Picotin, Garden Party and Evelyn bags alongside leather goods, scarves, jewellery, apparel and watches. The store will open daily from 11:30am to 8pm year-round except 1 January, and is running opening promotions through 30 September, including tiered discounts on purchases above ¥300,000.

The location looks deliberate: Aoyama's gallery district sits within walking distance of Hermès' own Maison Hermès flagship and a dense run of other maisons, putting a dedicated resale specialist directly in the path of both the brand's clientele and the tourists now driving Japan's inbound numbers. A fourth store in as many major shopping districts reads as a bet that demand for Birkin- and Kelly-tier resale in Japan is still expanding rather than levelling off — though it's worth being clear that ORANGE BOUTIQUE is a third-party reseller with no affiliation to Hermès, trading on the secondary market rather than through the maison's own allocation.
