Park Hyatt Tokyo stretches its ground-floor café into dinner service
Delicatessen now runs lunch through dinner service, backed by a seasonal all-you-can-drink craft-beer pairing — a ground-floor café earning its keep across more of the day.
Park Hyatt Tokyo has extended the hours of Delicatessen, its ground-floor café, to 11am–8pm from August 3, adding dinner service to what had been a largely lunch-focused operation, according to a release from the hotel. The kitchen has also added items including pinsa, salads, lasagne and a curry gratin alongside its coffee and soft-serve offering, the hotel said.
Running alongside the longer hours is a limited-run pairing programme, Park Brewery, offering two hours of all-you-can-drink for ¥5,000 a person from August 3 through October 30 — two original craft beers, an ale and a hazy IPA, plus sparkling, white and red wine, with a choice of one of five appetisers. The programme runs 5–8pm on weekdays and from 3pm on weekends and holidays, with last entry at 6pm and no reservations taken, the hotel said.
The extension fits a pattern in flagship hotel food and beverage, where ground-floor cafés built for walk-in trade are increasingly asked to work across more of the day, not just breakfast and the dinner rush upstairs. Delicatessen's street-level entrance, separate from the hotel's own lobby 41 floors up, already made it Park Hyatt Tokyo's easiest point of contact with passers-by who would never book a room; a no-reservation, dinner-hour beer pairing leans further into that role.
