Sega opens its first Kansai flagship, inside Shinsaibashi PARCO
Sega has opened its first Kansai flagship store, SEGA STORE OSAKA, on the sixth floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO — its second directly run store after Shibuya, and a bet that its own franchises can anchor a retail floor.

Sega Corporation opened SEGA STORE OSAKA on October 2 on the sixth floor of Shinsaibashi PARCO, its first flagship store in the Kansai region, with the opening lineup detailed in a release dated September 14.
The store carries merchandise across Sega's and Atlus's franchises, including Sonic the Hedgehog, Persona, Shin Megami Tensei, Yakuza, Project Sekai, Puyo Puyo and Metaphor: ReFantazio. Opening items include a ¥3,960 Sonic collaboration figure with artist Kosuke Kawamura and ¥9,900 Yakuza T-shirts made with apparel brand glamb, alongside Be@rbrick figures priced ¥9,020 to ¥25,080. Sega brought the Sonic character in person for appearances on October 2 and 3, with original shopping bags and stickers for purchasers, the company said. SEGA STORE OSAKA follows SEGA STORE TOKYO, which opened in Shibuya in July 2025.
A second directly run store, this time in Osaka's Shinsaibashi district, shows Sega building out its own character-retail estate rather than leaving the IP to third-party licensees — the route Pokémon Center and others have long taken. For PARCO, a flagship of this kind on its sixth floor adds a character-goods draw to a mall better known for fashion.
