Valentino Garavani adds a studded, vintage-finished sneaker to its Michele-era footwear line
Valentino Japan has launched the Valentino Garavani 'Stud Up' sneaker, a ¥127,600 studded, vintage-finished style from Alessandro Michele's 2026-27 autumn/winter collection.

Valentino Japan K.K. has launched the Valentino Garavani "Stud Up" sneaker, priced at ¥127,600, according to the company's own announcement. The style belongs to creative director Alessandro Michele's "Interferenze" collection for autumn/winter 2026-27, and combines suede, leather and nylon in a padded, running-inspired shape.
The design frames the collar with light gold-finished studs and adds a butterfly motif to the side, which the company said stands for beauty, lightness and transformation, finished with a deliberately vintage, lived-in look. It comes in seven colourways for men, including lilac, rose, fuchsia, azure blue, white and olive green, and five for women, and is sold through Valentino's own stores worldwide and on valentino.com.
The launch follows Valentino's Rockstud pop-in at Ginza Six in July, keeping the house's stud motif in near-constant rotation across price points and silhouettes — a way of extending brand recognition to shoppers not yet ready for full runway ready-to-wear, without diluting the studs' association with Valentino specifically. Unlike that pop-in, the sneaker ships as a standard global release, with no Japan-specific exclusivity attached.
