CFCL's Isetan Shinjuku shop, announced in August, opens as the brand's 10th directly run store

CFCL opened its Isetan Shinjuku store on September 2, the Tokyo knitwear label's tenth directly run shop and its only location built around rotating seasonal-exclusive colourways.

CFCL said its Isetan Shinjuku store, first announced in August, opened on September 2 on the third floor of the Main Building's International Designers East section — the Tokyo knitwear label's tenth directly run store in Japan.

The Tokyo label, known for garments made with computer knitting technology and founded by designer Yusuke Takahashi, built the new shop specifically around rotating seasonal-exclusive colourways, according to the company — its only store organised that way. To mark the opening, CFCL is giving a pair of Garter Rib Socks with purchases of ¥11,000 or more, through September 13.

A tenth directly run store is a modest but telling marker for a brand still only six years old — steady, one-at-a-time expansion inside Japan's biggest department stores rather than a rush into standalone flagships, with a store-specific product hook doing the work of drawing repeat visits to a floor that changes with the seasons.
