Knit-bag label LASTFRAME opens a two-week AW26 pop-up at Ginza Mitsukoshi

LASTFRAME, the specialty-loom knit-bag label from Tsuchiya Kaban Manufacturing, will run a two-week pop-up on Ginza Mitsukoshi's fourth floor from Aug. 12 to 25, showing four AW26 collections built around its rare knitting technique.

LASTFRAME, the knit-bag brand from Tsuchiya Kaban Manufacturing Co., Ltd., will hold a two-week pop-up on Ginza Mitsukoshi's fourth floor from Aug. 12 to 25, the company said. The bags are made on what LASTFRAME describes as one of only a handful of specialty looms still operating in Japan, capable of the delicate knit patterns and three-dimensional textures the brand builds its collections around.

The pop-up shows four AW26 collections, according to the release: GRID, a graphic check pattern (the Musubi Tote, ¥26,400); KASANE, drawing on Heian-era colour layering (the Arc Small, ¥23,100); METALLIC, using a lamé yarn rooted in Kyoto's gold-and-silver-thread weaving tradition (the Tasuki Tote Small, ¥24,200); and CRAFTMADE, a hand-knit line (the Block Square Medium, ¥49,500).

The pitch leans entirely on scarcity of craft rather than seasonal styling — a positioning that suits a small specialty tenant trying to stand out inside a department-store floor increasingly filled with easily replicated fast fashion.
