Korea's Shinsegae runs a six-day pop-up inside Shibuya Scramble Square, showing a Korean department-store group staging its own branded space in Tokyo.

Korea's Shinsegae has taken a floor inside Shibuya Scramble Square. MXN JAPAN, the Tokyo company running the space on Shinsegae's behalf, said in two press releases on October 18 that "DISTRICT SEOUL," an event organised by the Korean department-store group, is running on the tower's 12th floor "Scene12" space from October 15 to 21, open 11am to 9pm (the final day closes at 7pm).
Two Korean lifestyle brands are on the floor. SOILBAKER, a ceramics label, is showing its MIDAM collection, built around a gift set that pairs a rice bowl shaped like a traditional Korean cauldron with an earthenware pot suited to soups and stews, according to MXN JAPAN. K-CHUP, a jang-sauce brand developed by Tongue & Groove Joint — a Korean barbecue restaurant the release says has been selected for the Michelin Guide Seoul in multiple years — is offering its gochujang and ssamjang sauces, with a discount for buying two or more.
The organiser is the department-store group itself, with a Tokyo partner running the space, rather than the Korean brands selling through a Japanese distributor. The location is one of Tokyo's busiest retail towers, in Shibuya.
The run is brief — six days, over by October 21 — the kind of low-commitment format that lets a retailer read Tokyo's response before committing to anything longer.
